E-Invoicing? Stadtwerke Augsburg are ready!

The Challenge

Municipal and investor owned utilities are more and more forced to provide customers with electronic invoices. While the “ZUGFeRD”-standard is a hot topic in Germany, the requirements for successfully implementing a suitable E-Invoicing solution aren’t always clear.

Stadtwerke Augsburg (swa) trusted their long-standing partner with this challenge and chose the SEEBURGER E-Invoicing Solution.

The Solution

The SEEBURGER E-Invoicing Solution is modular and can be used for SAP- and non-SAP-systems with delivery on-premise or as a cloud service. Based on the good experience with the ARS-module swa decided to trust SEEBURGER’s E-Invoicing Solution ZUGFeRD module.

The implementation was done in a quick and uncomplicated way, since the SAP Add-On providing ZUGFeRD functionalities and detailed monitoring capabilities was provided through a transport for SAP for Utilities.

Due to the highly standardized nature of the solution, only a few customizing settings and mapping changes had to be adjusted, before swa were able to generate and send out their first electronic invoices using the new standard.

By taking this next step to realize their “digital strategy” swa aims to provide customers and partners with additional benefits, like the support of inbound and outbound electronic invoices.

All SEEBURGER E-Invoicing customers have the opportunity to use additional Add-Ons for quicker reaction times when it comes to format changes or the necessity to support other formats, for example ZUGFeRD 2.0/Factur-X or other national E-Invoicing regulations.
